Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific-supported entries earned multiple points-paying finishes at the final round of the Blancpain GT Series Asia at the Ningbo International Speedpark, despite enduring a challenging weekend.
The second Blancpain GT Series Asia season is drawing to a close, as the three Porsche customer teams aim to end 2018 on a high at the new Ningbo International Speedpark, China (12-14 October).
There were numerous points finishes for the five Porsche customer entries in the 2018 Blancpain GT Series Asia round at the Shanghai International Circuit, including a fine GT4 podium for TTR Team SARD and a top-five result for Craft-Bamboo Racing.
Teams for which Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific provide technical support endured a challenging weekend during the latest round of the Blancpain GT Series Asia at Fuji Speedway, as four GT3-spec Porsche 911 GT3 R, and a pair of Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR entries, raced at the historic Japanese venue.
Now in the height of summer, the Blancpain GT Series Asia heads to Fuji, Japan, for rounds seven and eight of the championship, with 33 cars confirmed including four Porsche 911 GT3 R and two Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR cars.
The #911 Craft-Bamboo Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, which is one of the six Porsches that received technical support from Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific last weekend, scored a season high second-place finish in race one of the Blancpain GT Series Asia round at Suzuka with Shae Davies and Sandy Stuvik on board.
Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific will provide extensive on-site support to six entries in this weekend’s third round of the Blancpain GT Series Asia at Suzuka, with four Porsche 911 GT3 R runners, and a pair of the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR.

Sepang. Porsche customer teams make their way to Malaysia this weekend to contest the first round of a new season of Blancpain GT Series Asia. Now in its second year, the Asian championship sees teams looking to battle it out, in both GT3 and GT4 classes, across 12 Rounds in four countries.
Darryl O’Young will partner Aidan Read in the #991 Craft-Bamboo Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R, completing the team’s two car lineup that is focused on bringing home the Blancpain GT Series Asia championship title. O’Young has been a staple GT driver for Craft-Bamboo since 2014 and has contributed greatly to their success in various championships and events.
